Sedating the triple warmer meridian
Use sustained pressure with thumb or fingertip to the level of resistance, and hold it until it changes (3-4 minutes). Each meridian has its own function, but the meridian most associated with stress is called Triple Warmer (also known as Triple Burner, Triple Heater and Sanjiao)., she teaches her method of sedating the Triple Warmer by running the meridian energy backwards. To sedate the Triple Warmer follow the illustration: 1.Use fingers of your opposite hand to touch the outside edge of your eyebrow (furthest from your nose); trace with your fingers back over and around the ear; down the back of your neck, across the back of your shoulder; down the outside of your arm to the back of your hand; and finish by touching the fourth ‘ring’ finger at the base of the nail. Repeat at least three times on each side of your body. The two go hand in hand, because Triple Warmer (fear, flight, fight) and Spleen (immune) go hand in hand. The adrenal glands, which are governed by Triple Warmer, are the first place that gets hit when we are stressed which we can see reflected as exhaustion and fatigue. Its job is to keep you safe, even at the sacrifice of other bodily functions.
Watch the video below for the Triple Warmer Meridian Technique.
If a point has been full for a long time, it may feel hard.
When you press, these points usually resist your pressure. Pressure Application Technique - Stretch the area around the full point, to disperse the blockage. Sink to the level of resistance and then pulse the pressure by alternately holding and releasing the point.
Trace around the back of the ears to the back of the shoulders (we hold a lot of stress here). Finish off with slight pressure, dragging your hands off your shoulders and shaking them off.
I would like to express my deepest thanks to all the amazing energy medicine practitioners for sharing their knowledge, and of course to Donna Eden, founder, who has brought this amazing body of knowledge to the world.
Hormones can also go haywire, and we may experience insomnia amongst many other health issues.
